Hey all---I've been debating back and forth whether I should go private or stop blogging and finally decided that I am going to stop blogging, at least for a while. Thanks for reading though and I hope we can find other ways to keep in touch!

Two Thousand and Twelve

Welcome 2012! This weekend all the Toomer's came down to our place and we partied! We celebrated a late Christmas together, played games, had a blast bowling, laser tagging, and arcade gaming, watching movies, staying up late and we also ate and ate and ate! It was a lot of fun. Jada is now a seasoned bowler.

My sweet niece Bayla! She is so dang beautiful! Just like her mama.

Below are some pictures of my new little Sunbeam!! Jada had her first Sunday in Primary today and it was great! Her teacher's said she was really good and kind of quiet. I said "Really?" I won't specify which of the 2 comments I was questioning :) I can't believe I have a kid in primary...it's so weird!! A woman in my ward asked if Jada was 5 today....she is so tall. Jada is always saying things like "Today when I was at Elaine's I got BIG." I think she knows she is tall and always growing.

Jada and her Nursery graduation certificate.
Bradley and I got called to be Sunday school teachers for the 14-15 yr olds, we are excited! It's always nerve-wracking when you get the call to meet with the bishopric to receive a calling, I don't think I slept at all last night! It was nice to go 4 months without a calling, but will be great to feel like we are contributing!
Looking forward to what 2012 will bring to our family!

Christmas 2011

I love December, it is my favorite month of the year. I love all the festivities and parties and lights and hot chocolate and cold weather....and I love to see people have a change of heart and help others and give so much of themselves. I hope I was able to do that a little bit this season.  We spent Christmas in St. George this year and had such a nice time. Christmas Eve us girls had our annual pedicure and had our toes done so cute for Christmas! Then we had chili and hot chocolate at my Aunt's on Christmas Eve and watched the little ones open up Christmas Eve presents. My cousin Brittney's little girl Abby and Jada are so cute together! Abby is so dang cute, she is about as girly and petite as they come...such a little sweetie. And she is so cute with her baby sister, I can't wait to see Jada with a little sibling. I just with Jada would share better and play better with other kids, sometimes she gets so snooty and rotten! Especially if she knows I am excited for her to play with someone. Ha. My mom and I were looking at some old family photos of my sister and I when we were little, and even though my sister and I are 6 yrs apart we have so many memories of being together and being friends when we were young. I wish she lived closer to me instead of in Texas! I am so glad that we got to see her this year. This weekend for New Year's Bradley's family is coming to our house for a big party--we are very excited! We finally have room to accommodate every one too, which is so nice!

Santa (AKA my Mom and Chad) spoiled J with a Princess Barbie Castle, and everything else princess under the sun to go with it....Jada was in hog heaven. It's so nice to spend time with family and be together for the holidays.

Jada is such a little girl now...she is such a sweet heart. She loves to talk on the phone, she will talk to her Grandmas and go in the other room and shut the door and lay there with her legs crossed bouncing her foot and talking on the phone for like 15 minutes...it's the cutest thing ever. I can't believe she will be in Primary this Sunday for the first time. I am excited and nervous...it's seems like about time though! She looks so huge compared to the other kids in her class. She always wants to open the garage and shut it with our remote garage opener, every single time we are in the car she wants to hold it--never forgets not even once. It's pretty much habit to hand it to her as soon as my seat belt clicks. She loves to go shopping with me and always wants to hold the list and try to figure out and guess what is on it.  She also sneaks things into the cart. Stinker! Half the time Bradley and I are just looking at each other trying not to laugh at the things she does. My stubborn ways are going out the door with her, I have to just give up and be so patient because she wants to do EVERYTHING herself and it can drive me crazy! She is so independent and thinks she is so big. She loves to chew gum and half the time she swallows it....I have GOT to stop giving it to her, but I give in every time. We are such suckers! She is the best traveler. She slept the whole way both ways from Lehi to STG and back. Didn't even need to stop and go potty, she can hold it for so long! She's a blast and we are having so much fun with her. I've been reading the Love and Logic parenting book and it is so great, so many great ideas.
We were Mary and Joseph in our Ward's Christmas party this year, just a tiny bit embarrassing but also very cool to experience. I love this season and the feeling that it gives me when I think about Christ and serving others and the examples from the amazing people around me. One person I have been thinking a lot about lately is my mother in law Gwen, She is one of the most Christlike people I know. She is so giving and caring and is always thinking of others and I look up to her so much. I am so grateful to have her as family and hope I can always try to live up to her example.

Thanksgiving

We went to Wyoming this year for Thanksgiving and had a blast!! It was our year to go down to Nevada but we didn't want Bridget to have to drive all that way with her new baby so we had our own little Thanksgiving up in Lyman at Bradley's parent's house, and it was so nice. Gwen spoiled us with all these crafting materials and all of us girls made crafts and Christmas presents for people all weekend while the guys watched games! It was so fun and so great to see our sweet little niece again. I love being an aunt! I am so excited for Bayla and Jada to grow up and be friends, and I hope they will be close like I am with some of my cousins.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was fun this year, Jada was so excited to go trick our treating and most excited to answer the door and pass out candy. This is the first year that she has really gotten into it so it was fun. She loves princesses and wanted to be Cinderella, which was very convenient for me since I already had the costume from Bradley's work. All I needed to do was have him bring me home some gloves! Which she promptly kissed with her red lipstick and now they have a cute little lip marks on the hand. We carved pumpkins with Kolby and Amy and Amy roasted the pumpkin seeds and they were so delicious!

New House & Family Pictures

I decided to take a internet hiatus for a while and I'm finally getting back on the band wagon. I still plan to make blog books one day when I am rich so I would love to keep this updated. Finally posting a picture of our new house. We love it! The more I live in it the more I love it, it couldn't be more perfect for us. It's been so fun to decorate and move things around and decide where we want everything. It's great to finally have a place for everything we have, and then some. I can't wait for it to warm up so we can start planting trees and do a garden and what not. Our neighbors all rock too and our ward has been so fun and so friendly. Below is a picture of part of the kitchen, and some other random pictures. I don't know why but I don't really want to post pictures of the inside of our home. Also, we finally got some family photos done and I would love input on which one we should frame in our home.

Finally Posting again

We've been just a little bit busy.....who am I kidding!!!!  I've been lazy and enjoying our new house! We bought the house that we put an offer on, it happened so fast--21 days from offer to closing. Crazy! We moved at the first of September and have been busy moving in and decorating and getting settled. We absolutely love it. It's been so great! It's a 4 bedroom 3 bath with a big fenced in yard, everything is already finished and it was totally turn-key. Couldn't have asked for more.
Our ward is so much fun too. We spoke in church today, and as we were getting ready to go this morning the doorbell rang unexpectedly. We peeked out the window and low and behold!!! Bradley's parents surprised us and came to hear us talk and take care of Jada for us! It was such a nice surprise!! And they brought this huge wonderful dinner with them too.....we are so spoiled!

Bradley's sister Bridget had her baby at the end of September and we drove up to Sheridan to go to her blessing. Bradley and I are finally an Aunt and Uncle...and we couldn't be happier! Little Bayla is so precious and we love her so much! It's so amazing when you experience love in a relationship you've never had before and how strong it can feel even when you are just meeting that little person for the first time. It's overwhelming. We can't wait to spend more time with them.

Jada holding her cousin Bayla for the first time....it was so sweet! Even Bayla liked it :) They are going to be such good friends!

Jada playing in the mud at our new place. Pictures to come!! Will post soon hopefully!

Summer is almost over....

We are finally buying a house!

(This isn't it though.)

We are under contract and just had our inspection done, I am very excited. We've looked at over 40 homes, it's been hard work--but it looks like it's going to pay off. I will post pics/more about it when it's a done deal.
Things have been great here....we've had a fun summer, and I can't believe it's almost over. Not that it really makes any difference for me but it's crazy just the same. Time goes faster the older I get. Jada's doing great, sings and dances and plays all the time. She goes around calling everyone and everything a "silly goose" in a crazy voice, and she wants a puppy so bad. Maybe we'll get one when we are in a house--a little Yorkie or something. I don't know if I'm up to it though.....it's like having another child! I will post more soon when I have some good pictures!

First annual 2011 Cousin's Camp!
My mom and I went to pick my sister up from the shuttle Sunday night at 2am and we were the first people on the scene of this huge fire in Bloomington! I had to call 911 and pound on that house's door and wake up the people inside! It was insane!! I'm so glad we drove by because there was no one else on the road! It was so scary! Needless to say we didn't get to bed until after 5am, it was a long night. We miss St. George!
